At Andreu Barberá we are committed to a greener, more responsible future.
For this reason, and thanks to the valuable collaboration and energy advice of IGEX Estudios, together with the alliance established with the leading photovoltaic technology company Quantica Renovables, we have started a phased project across all our facilities which, once completed, will cover an area of more than 50,000 m².
With the first phase completed, we are pleased to announce that we now have a 12,000 m² plant with a photovoltaic capacity of 1074.7 kWp, generating 1,354,122 kWh. This means that 57% of all our energy will come directly from the distributed, green photovoltaic installation, so we avoid drawing it from the grid.
This installation, one of the largest in the area, will help reduce CO2 emissions by 750 t/year, equivalent to planting around 4,000 trees over the next 25 years.
For us, being sustainable is not an option, it is our responsibility; and we will keep working tirelessly to improve and find new ways to reduce the impact of our activities on the environment, reducing our carbon footprint.
