Club Ajedrez Andreu Paterna is taking part in the European Chess Club Cup, held in North Macedonia from 17 to 25 September, in the town of Struga.
Club Ajedrez Andreu Paterna approaches this event with great enthusiasm and with the aim of continuing to gain experience at the highest level of chess, with a squad made up entirely of Valencian chess players.
Andreu Barbera S.L. expresses its pride in and support for the club, which is taking part in this top-level European championship. This participation marks a new milestone for the club, a historic name in Valencian chess that continues to grow after being crowned runner-up in the Spanish División de Honor just a year ago.
For the president of Club Ajedrez Andreu Paterna, Joaquín Ballester, «we consider it a great source of pride to take our club’s name to the top European club championship, and even more so to do it with home-grown players, which will allow them to gain important experience competing against the elite of European chess».
