On 27 October the first edition of the Sustainability and Transparency Observatory Awards took place, at which Andreu Barberá, S.L. received the Award for Commitment to the Local Community, in recognition of its support for the people of Paterna, their culture and sport, thereby contributing to the development and growth of the town.
The Sustainability and Transparency Observatory (OBSET) is a joint project that aims to be a space for cooperation, learning and the transfer of good practices from a social and environmental perspective. OBSET is made up of organisations such as EGM Parc Tecnològic Paterna, Asivalco, AE l’Andana, ADET, Apymep, Paterna Ciudad de Empresas and the Universitat de València, supported by the Generalitat Valenciana through the Conselleria de Economia Sostenible.
At this gala, the companies Grefusa, S.L., Jeanología, S.L., Unión de Mutuas, Gourmet, S.A., Consum Cooperativa Valenciana, Zubi Education, S.L. and Paterna Ciudad de Empresas were also honoured with various awards relating to commitment in the areas of employment, society, education and/or the environment.
The event was attended by the Mayor of Paterna, Mr Juan Antonio Sagredo, who, in addition to collecting the Public-Private Cooperation award granted to Paterna Ciudad de Empresas, congratulated the award-winning companies on their work. Pablo Serratosa, chairman of Gestora NAO, gave a talk focusing on sustainability as a necessity that will increasingly be required of companies.
Present in more than 40 countries, Andreu will celebrate 50 years in business in 2022, throughout which constant adaptation to the demands of new, ever-evolving markets and the sustainable manufacture of its doors have been fundamental.
At Andreu we proudly receive this award as recognition of the effort and commitment of our team, and it is a further source of motivation to keep tackling with enthusiasm the new challenges the future will bring.
