Álvaro Fuertes, the newly crowned ESBK Spanish champion in the Premoto3 category, visited the Andreu Barberá facilities last January to thank the company for its support through its sponsorship. Álvaro, who came accompanied by his 250cc BeOn motorbike, the faithful companion that has helped him reach the top, presented a dedicated, personalised gift to the Andreu family, who proudly welcomed the champion.
After a first season of adaptation in 2020, in which FuertesTeam#16 finished 4th, this second cycle began with the aim of improving results, and the ending could not have been better. From the very first race Álvaro never left the podium, with 3 victories, 2 second places, 4 thirds and 3 fourths, which took him to the top step with 254 points.
For 2022 the outlook changes radically, as he enters the FIM Junior championship in the Hawkers European Talent Cup (HETC) category, in which he will also race on a new bike, a Honda NSF 250. Álvaro is clear that he must take it step by step, with this year’s objective being to keep learning, with a view to making the leap to the world championship in the future.
Andreu Barberá congratulates the whole team on this triumph and expresses its commitment to continue contributing, as far as possible, to the pursuit of new successes. It is a source of pride to be part of this project and to support the Fuertes Team, which shows great talent, work ethic and determination.
