A hospital the size of Terrassa’s combines operating theatres, consulting rooms, inpatient wards and technical spaces. The door solution cannot be a single one: each area imposes its own regulatory and acoustic requirements. Andreu fitted out the facility with fire doors for general compartmentation and acoustic doors in areas requiring sound insulation, combining both performance features where the project demanded it.
